To be honest it doesn’t really matter what you wear for your CrossFit workout, just as long as you are comfortable. But, all athletes and sports people like to wear their “uniform” and CrossFitters are no different. There is now a whole range of CrossFit gear which is being developed by well-known sports companies. Here are a few of the more well-known examples:
Reebok has been a CrossFit partner since 2010 (it is officially The Reebok CrossFit Games) so it’s not surprising that they’ve developed a range of sports gear specifically for budding CrossFitters and enthusiasts. CrossFit athletes have actually helped in the design of this range which includes both apparel and a selection of footwear. The Reebok Tank is available in a range of distressed vintage colors perfect for showing off that sweat you’ve worked so hard to achieve. There are also some terrific sneakers and a whole range of shorts in a variety of lengths – manufactured from fabric with four-way stretch which won’t ride up during your WOD. Potential chaffing problems are alleviated by a comfortable flat lock stitching technique.
Fashletics is a company based in Miami which has a great range of apparel, jewelry and CrossFit inspired accessories created by certified CrossFit trainer, Sarah Wilson. Apart from a great range of CrossFit wear there is a choice of fun gifts for the CrossFitter who has everything!
Puma has a new athlete in their stable, a CrossFitter no less – Mel Ockerby who was placed first within an affiliate team after only practicing CrossFit for two short years. They have a great range including a super soft tank, the PowerCore Long Tank, which is designed for maximum comfort and stays in place during your WOD. There are also some terrific pants and sneakers available in a wide range of colors. The Faas 300 are lightweight, comfortable, keep the athlete stable and look great –what more could you want?
